BeatAce is a peer-driven initiative driven by passionate people with the common goal of enhancing individual societal knowledge of adverse childhood experiences, and of the tools and methods that are available to intervene and mitigate their negative effects.
BeatAce is authored by Thomas Peter Berntsen, who is a tech entrepreneur living with a passion for building empowering information technology.
Being born and raised in Denmark, Scandinavia, he is the product of a rich and privileged society with an extensive welfare system, however a system with blind spots large enough that a lot of children experience adverse childhood effects.
Thomas' interest in adverse childhood effects lies in the fact that he has himself experienced several - but more interestingly that he has experienced that the effects of such can be mitigated and remarkable personal growth achieved.
With BeatAce, Thomas aims to curate, compile and share the burgoning wealth of information on the topic of adverse childhood effects so that it may be accessible to anyone who would like to educate and empower themselves on how to intervene against adverse childhood effects (ACEs) and mitigate their effects in themselves, their loved ones, and in society.
BeatAce also aims to develop technology-facilitated, holistic methods of empowerment for children and adults suffering from the effects of ACEs.
